Divorce and International / Global Tax

Marc Schwartz spoke about international / global tax issues related to divorce as a panelist at the December 5, 2014 American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) Georgia Chapter Family Law Seminar. International tax issues have been receiving additional attention as the IRS (Internal Revenue Service) has increased its focus on international tax over the past several years. Specific items of focus on the panel included residency status under domestic law and treaty, treatment of alimony and global after-tax cash flow in addition to a discussion of the Top Ten international tax items non-tax professionals need to know.

Deborah Gibbon and Sherri Holder also served as panelists. They are CPAs who are authorities on forensic accounting, financial analysis and valuation services in relation to family law and divorce litigation.
